Retirement Celebration for Tom Carrico to benefit The After Dark Fund

Chopteeth is so proud and grateful to have worked with our manager Tom Carrico for nearly 20 years. He’s been a critical inspiration for our project from the beginning, and we’ve counted on his encouragement, friendship and vision every step of the way.

Please join us on Sunday, September 24 at Rosensteel Hall in Silver Spring as we celebrate Tom’s well-deserved retirement with a big night of music and love.

Musical performers will include many of the artists that Tom has managed over the years, including:

The Nighthawks - Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band - King Soul - Goin' Goin' Gone - Billy Price - Bobby Thompson - Eryn Michel & Susan Rowe - THE AFTER DARK ALLSTARS featuring Ratso, Jon Carroll, Martha Hull, Bob Berberich, Abaad Behram - Dave Chappell - Johnny Castle - Andy Rutherford

Tom Carrico's storied career includes managing for multi-platinum selling, multi-Grammy winner Mary Chapin Carpenter (1985-1995), The Nighthawks, Steve Forbert, Mike Henderson, Jonell Mosser, Billy Price & the Keystone Rhythm Band, Evan Johns & the H-Bombs and more. He was a booking agent for East Coast dates for Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble in the late 70’s and early 80s, prior to Vaughan's breakthrough record deal. Tom most recently managed Bobby Thompson and songwriter Eryn Michel in addition to Chopteeth. Tom generously held regular career consulting sessions for musicians in the nation’s Capital area.

Tom served as Talent Buyer at Bethesda Blues and Jazz from 2014-2018, where he presented major artists and songwriters like Jimmy Webb, Rickie Lee Jones, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Eric Andersen, Cris Williamson, Peter Yarrow, The Spinners, Otis Clay, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and more.
